What is Amazon Pay?

Online payment system using Amazon’s user account (and associated payment data) of Amazon’s client on websites other than Amazon. It is a system similar to PayPal.

It is already in use in more than 170 countries and is used by more than 33 million people. In 2016 transactions doubled compared to 2016. In April 2017 it arrived in Spain.

What are the benefits of Amazon Pay?

For the buyer:

  1. You do not have to use multiple payment systems or enter cards on external websites.

  2. Simplicity and familiarity in the purchase experience.

For shops that add this payment system:

  1. An additional payment form and therefore an opportunity to increase conversion. The more payment options are offered, the more possibilities are to complete the purchase.

  2. If you have the Amazon Pay system you understand that you have exceeded certain legal requirements and the risk is minimized to deception or mistrust.
