As at 10 March 2020Amazon has just reported that the sale is already available through Amazon NetherlandsTo do this, please note that “your product listings are visible on Amazon.nl and are available to all customers. We are constantly trying to create the best possible experience for customers and opportunities for our vendors to grow their business in the EU.” Here.
Amazon has informed us of its new opening: Amazon.nl where it will start selling physical products with more categories. Once again, we are facing an excellent opportunity for all manufacturers who want to export their products to another EU country. Then we leave you all the information sent by Amazon Seller Services.
[Amazon has announced today the plan to deploy its selection to Amazon.nl soon.] (https: / / www.aboutamazon.eu / press-release / amazon-to-expand-amazon-nl-later-thes@-@ year) To better serve our customers in the Netherlands, we will start selling physical products on Amazon.nl, with more categories available to customers and a selection of both Amazon and Amazon website vendors.
Today, more than half of all the items that are bought in Amazon worldwide are sold by vendors from around the world. We are very happy to increase the selection of our online store, Amazon.nl, in order to create even more opportunities for our sellers to grow their business in the EU.
We are implementing the new “Selling in Amazon.nl” function to all EU vendors. In short, Amazon.nl will be added as the sixth country option to the EU seller account (you can see it in the country drop-down of your Central Seller account). We will inform you once Amazon.nl has been added to your EU seller account.
What does this mean for your business?
-
This is a great opportunity to deploy your business in the EU. You don’t have to create another account to start selling on Amazon.nl. With an EU seller account, you can sell at the six online stores (Amazon.nl, Amazon.de, Amazon.es, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it and Amazon.fr).
-
Please note: We want to help you deploy your business to Amazon.nl efficiently. For this reason, we will synchronize your products (which you have already enabled to send to the Netherlands) with your Central Seller account for Amazon.nl. We will use the “Create International Lists” tool to synchronize the existing lists and prices from your home website to Amazon.nl. You can review the product list, delete or add lists and update the price settings as soon as we prepare the selection for you. We will notify you by email and in Central Seller once you have completed.
-
If you are a professional plan seller, your monthly subscription fee will not change. Amazon.nl will be included in your monthly subscription fee.
You do not need to make any action at this time. We will soon provide more details about the release of Amazon.nl and the preparation of your product selection. We invite you to check the emails and notifications of Central Seller over the next few days.
The Netherlands and e-commerce.
The Netherlands, with more than 17 million inhabitants, is the world’s most developed e-commerce country. The main reason for this e-purchasing culture may be that 95% of people living in it live on the Internet or, perhaps, because their servers have exceptional and high quality security.
In any case, the Netherlands is the best option for all those who want to expand borders to other European markets, with an estimated growth of $15 billion in 2020.
Other interesting data on the use of communication in the Netherlands go through the trends in communication of young people, who use Whatsapp as a first communication track at 93%. The second is Facebook with 75% and finally Instagram, which is only 50% of the thousands of people.
Amazon.nl has been added to your EU seller account.
Now you can see Amazon.nl along with Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.es, Amazon.fr and Amazon.it, as the sixth option in your EU seller account.
We want to help you deploy your business to Amazon.nl efficiently. For this reason, we have synchronized your products (which you have already enabled to be sent to the Netherlands) with your Central Seller account for Amazon.nl. We have used the “Create International Lists” (BIL) tool to synchronize the existing lists and prices from your home marketplace to Amazon.nl. Check the publication of products, delete or add lists and update the price settings of the selection we have prepared for you.
If you want to stop selling on Amazon.nl, click here and then click “Delete Connection.”
The necessary measures for you:
- For self-managed lists:
-
Check your lists: We have synchronized the existing selection that you have already enabled to send to the Netherlands with the current prices of your home website with the “Create International Lists” (BIL) function. Open BIL, go to “Supply Types to Connect” and review the established rules. Then go to “Price Rules for the destination websites” and check your prices for amazon.nl. If you want to offer customers in the Netherlands a larger selection, you can make a wider list.
-
Check the shipping settings: We have created the shipping configuration for Amazon.nl by copying your current transit time and the shipping prices for Dutch exports from your home BIL marketplace. To change them, go to Central Seller, change to the Amazon.nl website, go to “Settings,” click “Configuration of shipments” and modify your transit time and shipping rates for Amazon.nl.

- For Amazon Logistics lists:
-
Check your lists and prices: We have synchronized your eligible selection and the current prices of Amazon.de (Germany) taking into account the VAT difference between the Netherlands and Germany. Example: if you sell an article on Amazon.de for 10 €, we synchronize the price of this article on Amazon.nl as 10.17 €by taking into account the VAT difference in Germany (19%) and the Netherlands (21%). You will also benefit from Amazon Logistics promotional rates to manage your orders on Amazon.nl. Click here to view Amazon’s Logistics rates.
-
Important: If you have a selection of Amazon Logistics in an Internet store other than Amazon.de, we will not synchronize this selection. You can now post that selection on Amazon.nl.

To prepare your business for launch and become one of Amazon.nl’s first sellers, it is important that you review your inventory, prices and shipping settings. Once you have done it, you don’t need to do anything else. Once Amazon.nl with its extended selection is launched, your selection will be automatically activated.
